Divine Heritage & Spiritual Legacy
Founded in 1879, the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) Temple Trust, Mumbai is one of the city’s oldest and most respected religious and charitable institutions. The Trust was established with a mission to preserve sacred temples, promote cultural and spiritual heritage, and serve society through charitable work.
Over the past century, the Trust has grown into a pillar of faith and service for the GSB community and beyond. It manages several prominent temples and heritage properties across Mumbai, including the historic Banganga Tank and Walkeshwar Temple precinct, and the Murlidhar Mandir in Mahim.
FESTIVALS
Every year, on the occasion of Tripurari Pournima, the Trust organizes a grand Maha Aarti on the banks of the Banganga, modeled after the one held in Varanasi.
During the months of Magh and Ashwin, the Navratri festival is celebrated in the Shri Shantadurga–Shri Shitladevi temple premises.
During the month of Shravan, special worship is organized every Monday at the Shri Bhuleshwar and Shri Valukeshwar temples.
